We used PhotoStory which is from Microsoft : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=92755126-a008-49b3-b3f4-6f33852af9c1&DisplayLang=en

We also used Microsoft Movie Maker that comes w/ windows to edit the video we shot during the wedding and we are planning on putting both the video of teh wedding and the slide show together on one DVD for Andrea. I'm sure we'll make a bunch of copies so you'll end up with one somehow.

Yeah I would love a copy of that DVD. Honestly, I can't believe how photogenic I am. I mean how many people do you know that can make buck teeth and a bowl cut work? Not to many. I should have sent you in some pictures of my mullet to complete the circle of agony. :)

BTW, what is the link to the software you used to make that. It really was impressive.

You definitely won't be able to use ASP on linux but if you want you can setup a J2EE container and use JSP. I would probably stick w/ PHP though.

That's funny about the moderation thing, I noticed the comment said awaiting moderation.

I used to use NewsGator because my work paid for it and it integrated tightly into Outlook which I use all day. Now I have just been using Firefox's live bookmarks. They are ok, but I don't get any notification when new stories are posted.

BTW, I just got my DVD burning software working so hopefully over the next day or 2, or at least by this weekend, we will have a DVD of Andrea's wedding ready to show people.

Wow, tikiwiki is really cool. At first glance it looks like it has as much functionality as VBulletin which costs around $160. This might save me a good chunk of change. I'm going to download it and mess around with it a bit.

All my sites run on Linux machines with Apache & mySQL so I think I can only use PHP and not ASP. Is that correct?

I spend a lot of time here: http://wikipedia.org so I've seen Wiki in action and I think it's a great idea. I love the whole open-source community experience.

BTW, I had to moderate one of your comments because it contained 2 or more links. It took me a while to realize why exactly I had to moderate this one and not your others. I bumped up the links to 5 before having to be moderated. FYI, in case you were wondering.

It seems I am a skycade fanatic!!!

Anyways, I was playing with a cool demo of TikiWiki @ http://www.opensourcecms.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=180

Click the admin logon and you can administer a TikiWiki site. A couple things I noticed is that you can create users, assign groups, and give permissions based on those groups. It has pretty good Forums, blogs, announcements, polls, Wiki site.

Users can assign themselves stylesheets as well to change the look of the site. Worth a look anyways.

If you want to look at a single product that has Wiki, forums, blogs, etc. take a look at TikiWiki at http://tikiwiki.org. I believe it is also all PHP. Click on the features tab to see what it can do.

Wiki's are cool as it is more of a collaborative editing mechanism whereas blogs are really driven by a single person with comments from the rest.

I think for CashmanClan, a wiki would be cool so that anyone can write about an event, or have a personal page, or whatever.

If you want to try out a free one, check out ==> http://www.schtuff.com/

You can setup a free site as well as handle access control. If you want to run your own wiki software, take a look at PHPWiki (I know you're a PHP expert) or this site for an exhaustive list of all implementations : http://c2.com/cgi/wiki?WikiEngines

I scored a 12% with a 1200 mile avg error. I think I put Utah somewhere over in Asia. :)

I never thought about starting a Wiki site. What is the advantage of that a over a forum like ikonboard or phpBB? I'll have to look into this a bit. Actually I planning in buying Vbulletin eventually for phrostbyte, but coldspell could be a good Wiki candidate.

I scored a 90% w/ 32 mile avg error on the Map game. Erin decided to challenge that and she ended scoring 90% w/ a 31 mile avg error. She always has to one up me.

You should set up a Wiki site on here, might be better than blogging for cashmans as we can all edit the site.
