I was fixing my bros computer. At first the boot became scrambled and i fixed that. then he came back two days later saying it wouldn't turn on etc. So i took everything out tested everything and the only component that wasnt working was the motherboard. Somehow its gone and fried itself. hey

I would rather have the computer spontaneously combust then to have to go through that again. Luckily my basement flooded and put an end to my troubleshooting nightmare. :) It just floated away. I had the SAME problem. Except it doens't reboot, it FREEZE. I had the Gigabyte K8nV board with the Athlon 64 3200+ which is very similar to your spec I suppose!!! I went through the exact troubleshooting method as you did as well.....! Except this happen a year after it happened to yours... :P I am getting an upgrade tomorrow..
