Yup, that’s right…everything. I traded in my original (hacked beyond recognition) red theme, for a new, more functional minimalistic theme. It’s amazing what a fresh coat of CSS will do for a site. All the code under the hood has been overhauled as well.
I also changed the name of the site from :skyecade online [...]
This is the best. Bubbleguru.com allows you to create a video right from their website and embed it into your website as a little video pop-up bubble. And you know how much we all like pop-ups, right?
It’s completely free and it takes only a few minutes to get a new video on your site. I [...]
What have we here? It looks like O’Reilly - of O’Reilly Media, not Bill O’Reilly - has opened up its internet ports to all those who are interested in getting an education in technology. O’Reilly School of Technology offers a variety of online courses ranging from programming to system administration to web development. You [...]
Internet Explorer 7 has been out for about a week now and my head is already spinning. For those of you who are not using this <sarcasm>fabulous</sarcasm> piece of software and can’t see the horrible mess my website has become, have a look for yourself. Isn’t it fantastic?. As you can see, the lists in [...]
I had to post this. This is picture is 100% computer generated. Of course, if this was a really detailed computer generated picture of a sweaty lumberjack, chances are you wouldn’t find it on this blog.
BTW, here is the artist’s step by step instructions on how he created this in Photoshop CS2. Pretty impressive stuff.
Ahh Google. I forgot how much I love thee. If you haven’t heard, Google’s stock has been a little shaky lately for reasons my unsophisticated mind can’t comprehend, but I would have to imagine that their investors will be quite pleased with this beauty they just released.
It’s called the Google Page Creator and it is [...]
This is probably my most used Photoshop technique. I’ve always been a huge fan of black & white photography. In Photoshop, the two most common ways of converting to black & white are by converting the image to grayscale or by completely desaturing the image. These two methods unfortunately lack contrast and tonal control. The [...]
One of my first lessons in photography was “keep the horizon straight“. Unfortunately this is not always as easy as it sounds. But never fear, Photoshop is here. Here is a quick and easy fix I learned for straightening the horizon in your photos. I believe it will work for all the latest [...]
After about a week straight of tweaking the style sheet, I’m finally happy with the outcome. None of the static pages have content yet, i.e., about, contact, links, but I’m working on it. That is the next project on my ever growing list of projects. I will eventually get around to getting coldspell and phrostbyte [...]
